whooo's been busy
A while back "The Chunky Monkey" had posted pictures of the little dress she had made for her darling girls. I had to have the pattern. So last Sunday I was at Joann's and saw the first project with this pattern. I seriously have an issue with to many hobbies and to many ideas, not saying that they are all winners but hey I just can't calm what I like to think as my creative brain. So back to topic. Last yr sometime I bought the cutest applique design but had never used it. Well now you will see what i came up with. It's not quite finished but can't wait to show you.

gym bag and towels
I had a request for some personalized gym towels and of course I can't just make the towels. This is what I came up with. I'm thinking of trying to peddle these on etsy. What do you think and how much? Oh if you can't tell the loud flower thing is a bag.....

wooooo hooooo
Well I had my first Etsy sale. I had a lady contact me and wanted one of my dolls, of course she wanted the one I had donated for the Holidays. So I made her another one like what she wanted and threw in a gift cause I felt like a smuck not having the one doll she wanted.
I also made a cute bunny outfit for Easter (I hate working with fuzy minky fabric).....

LA garment distric or bust
First I will say I have been sick as a dog since last week, sinus infection. I am feeling almost human again.
Any whooo I got a bug up my butt to go to LA and see what wonderful bargain's I could get. So after sitting in traffic for 2 hrs I finally arrived in the beautiful city of Los Angeles. When I started getting close to my destination I could see the streets lined with fabric bolts. I was very excited. I park my car in a lot about a block from Michael Levines (my destination) the elevator is broken so a rush to follow 2 ladies down the stairs. I have a thing about stair wells in yucky cities. I just got my claire pattern in the mail so my quest was for cottons and knits. I go into the store and am amazed at all the wonderful fabric. I eyed one of the fabrics I have been wanting and this is where the whole trip turns in a BUST the price was the same as any retail fabric store. I will say they had every current fabric you could want. So needless to say I didn't get much. I will say that the other stores have great prices on synthetic materials.
