monster fleece hat

Here was my craft for the day, well I started last night and just finished it up. My 20 yr old daughter asked if I would make her a hat. So here it is. A little bulky but cute.

So here it is. I made a few boo boo's but all in all I think it came out great. I had to improvise on some of the fabric, the pattern on the fabric was in one direction and I didn't buy enough.

The pattern is Farbenmix Feliz Dress Pattern. This dress can grow with your child. It can be a tunic and then modified to a skirt. Of course this is a easter dress so I won't modify it. I found a great sew along for this pattern. I don't think I could have made it without the step by step instructions.

I found some really cute easter fabric at Joann's.

Here is a sneak peak of what I'm going to make.

attack of the goats

I met a friend and her boys at a petting zoo. Apparently they don't feed the animals enough. A horse ate one of the little boys straw hat and the goats charged us at the gate and jumped on me to get the food. Good times.

finished hobo bag

My model informs me "it's 2 big". Well good thing it's not for her. The pics don't do it justice. This came out fantastic. There is allot of detail. I think it would have been faster and easier if I would have used cotton, since I couldn't iron the seams it look a little longer to do. I'm very proud of this.

Birdie sling

I decided last night since it was going to rain today I would start this project. My oldest daughter requested a hobo bag and this was the pattern she chose. The material might not be the most practical but is sure to look great. I cleaned off the kitchen table and am ready to start.
