Well I got the new camera last week. I have no idea how to use it. The auto functions aren't really auto. I just thought it would have a point and shoot option until I learned to use the manual functions but it doesn't seem to. Maybe tomorrow when the kid is at day camp I will try to take some decent photos of my projects.

I'm so bad

Well I did it. I broke down and couldn't pass up getting the new camera. It should be here the next day or so.

I have been in a poopy don't want to anything mood. I don't have any pictures but here it goes.

Got a kitten from the pound the other day. She is a 3 months old red tabby. We named her Elli.

I want a new camera. I am currently drooling over the Pentax K20D. I have a 4 yr old Pentax istds that I worship but is incredibly slow on indoor shots. I will try to hold out till the holidays but I can't promise anything. Maybe I can sell my toddler who at the moment I want to strangle.

So my husband says his car was making this noise so I volunteer to take it to my mechanic "dad". I pack up the kid and the new kitty and head out for the hr drive to my parents. I'm driving down the road so far so good, then I go up the on-rap which is a small hill. HOLLY SH** what the heck is that chug chug chug. So for the next hr every time I go up a tiny hill or have to slow down then speed up I almost crap my pants. The whole time I'm thinking if we don't die I am gonna have to buy a new car. Well my dad saved the day. It was the spark plugs YAY. So the $20 bucks and the drive from hell was all worth it.

When I pull myself out of my funk I will start on the toddlers birthday dress.

So I have been a little out of it the last few weeks.

So here is a short or not so short recap.

I have been needing wanting a hair make over for a little while now. Since I have come to the conclusion I will always be fat might as well make the most of it. So I made an appointment to get my hair done at this $$$$ place. I decided to go really short and add some highlights. Well lets just say I loved the cut but the color YUCK. So I was blond for the weekend and made her turn me back to brown. This is the yucky blond. I'm happy to report I am back to brown.

Me and hubby had plans for months to go to the Paseo Robles wine festival last weekend. It's the greatest thing in the world if you like wine, I guess it's a good think I am a wine-o / borderline drunk. They have like a 100 vineyards that all participate. All the vendors set up tents in a fenced off city park. Drunks wonder around for hrs drinking oh I mean tasting wine can you say HEAVEN. This will be our fourth time going. Any who, it's about a 3 hr drive from here we got the oldest kid to watch the toddler and off we went. Well we got to the event in the past they gave you tickets to taste this time there was NO tickets tasting was unlimited, did I say HEAVEN. Any who it was 103 degrees in the park so needless to say I didn't have the best time of my life. The event started at 1 and I think I was drunk all day. FUN FUN FUN not so much.

I took the kid to CA adventures and met some friend. I was gone to long and pooped the next day. It was fun.

Oh one night after a few glasses of wine I decided to buy some Disney princess dress patterns. I get tired of the cheap dress up dresses that rip or are just junk. So I think I am gonna try to make make one or all for the toddler, her birthday is coming in a few months.

I have made a few things this last week. I am trying to make a pin wheel quilt can you say off centered. Oh my older kid asked if I would make 2 hobo bags for her friends since I don't have a life and am made out of money.

itty bitty instructions

with right sides facing sew alone the black lines (see below)
you will have 2 peices

turn right side out after sewing, this is what it should look like (see below)
fancy I know. Your gonna sew the 2 short edges together





then your going to lay both peices right sides together, so they are laying on top of each other (see below) then sew alone the black line

so it would look like this if you opened it up if you only sewed one side, like it's sewn in the middle (see below)

just make sure you don't sew the straps in the seam. hope this makes sence.

itty bitty dress

My oldest daughter wanted me to make something for a friend that just had a baby. Once again she doesn't like pink. The pattern was free from another blog.
